The major changes in the physics in Unity 5 made impossible to\u00a0update the vehicle physics while keeping the compatibility with previous Unity 4 projects. As result, I decided to start from scratch and write a completely new vehicle physics simulation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1387\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edy.es\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2015-04-01_003751-300x163.png\" alt=\"2015-04-01_003751\" width=\"399\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edy.es\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2015-04-01_003751-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/www.edy.es\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2015-04-01_003751-1024x556.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.edy.es\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2015-04-01_003751.png 1228w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The key features as result of the new design are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designed for gameplay<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles are simple to configure providing\u00a0predictable results<\/li>\n<li>Full C# source code<\/li>\n<li>Fixes the <a href=\"http:\/\/forum.unity3d.com\/threads\/unity-5-wheelcollider-component-is-unusable.307099\/\">problems with the WheelCollider<\/a> in Unity 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0package is now released as Beta. Some features and vehicles available in the old version are yet to be moved here.
