Recent commits\u00a0to VPP repositories have changed the GUIDs for some components. As result, updating VPP in your project will cause several missing references in your project. I’ve prepared a one-time patch that fixes the missing references easily.<\/p>\n

You need to apply this patch to your project when updating VPP from a version older than 2019-01-25. New projects set up on or after that date don’t need\u00a0the patch.<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Ensure you have a backup or VCS snapshot of the project.<\/li>\n
  2. Update all VPP repositories to the master<\/strong> branch (master-sdk<\/strong>\u00a0in “Vehicle Physics Sample Assets” if using the Professional version). Missing components and references will appear along the project.<\/li>\n
  3. From Unity’s Project window locate the folder Upgrades<\/strong>\u00a0in the VPP folder. Default locations:
    \nEnterprise:
    \nAssets\/Vehicle Physics Pro\/Core\/Vehicle Physics Core\/Upgrades
    \nProfessional:
    \nAssets\/Vehicle Physics Pro\/SDK\/Upgrades<\/li>\n
  4. Select the file 2019-01-25 Compatibility Update.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Read the Patch Notes in the Inspector.<\/li>\n
  6. Click Apply Patch<\/strong> and wait for completion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Unity will reload the project files once the patch finishes and the missing references will be restored.<\/p>\n

    The patch is already available in both Professional and Enterprise editions of Vehicle Physics Pro.<\/p>\n
